Stand Against Violence

Wednesday 18th January we welcomed Stand Against Violence into school to lead some very useful assemblies. The whole school took part in an assembly around the theme of Anti-bullying. This looked at what makes a good friend and how good friends make us feel. The children had the opportunity to explore what is bullying and what is falling out with friends. The children were great and were able to give great examples of how they can help anyone being bullied.

Year 5 and 6 had an extra assembly around Gangs, this explored how children can get drawn into gangs and what they can do to keep themselves safe. This followed with an Anti-Violence session looking at how our actions can sometimes have very serious unintentional consequences.

We were so proud of the children as they were very heavy topics but they were so mature and asked lots of questions!
