Black History Month - Music
We explored the roots of African music, discussing what people could use as an instrument, such as their voice, body parts and handmade instruments. We closed our eyes and listened to the beautiful kora playing of Toumani Diabaté. Vanessa used our comments on the music to create a class song about coming together in harmony. What a great start to Black History Month.
