Advent Wreath Blessing

On Thursday we were joined by Father Richard for our Advent Wreath Blessing Service. We gathered to reflect during the time of Advent. During this time, we think about the special times when we do our best to say yes to God. We say sorry for times we may have said no. We thank God for this special time every year, and for the opportunity to prepare to celebrate the birthday of Jesus once again. There is something really special about the Advent season. Waiting gives us time to think and reflect. It gives us time to consider the past. It is about remembering that Jesus was born into the world, bringing light and hope. All of the lights that we see at Christmas are a reminder that Jesus is the light of the world.
