Where charity and love are, God is there

Passover

As part of our Holy Week celebrations we held a whole school Passover meal with Fr Richard.

Passover is when Jewish people remember the story of when Moses led the people of Israel out of Egypt to freedom.  This event was called the Exodus, and they celebrate it with a special meal to say thank you to God.

Even though we are not Jewish, the Passover is important to us because Jesus was Jewish, and every year he celebrated Passover.  Jesus was celebrating a special Passover meal with his disciples the night before he was crucified.

Blessed are you, O God, King of the universe, creator of the vine.
