Where charity and love are, God is there

Mental Health Week

Monday saw the start of Children’s Mental Health week in school. Mrs Barker started the week with a wonderful assembly, sharing how she and her childhood friends connected through a love of the ‘Spice Girls’. The children have explored Mental Health in their classes around the theme of Let’s Connect. The children were connected through running this week, we know that exercise can make us feel good. It was lovely to see everyone connecting to run round the playground. On Wednesday Mrs Barker welcomed parents to our Thrive room for a wellbeing workshop offering ways in which you can support at home, she will run another one next term. Rosie our Mental Health Practitioner finished the week on Thursday with an assembly, providing children with support and advice for looking after their Mental Health.

Tuesday saw the school exploring how to keep safe online for Safer Internet Day. The theme this year was ‘Together for a better internet’. Our online safety team lead a whole school assembly.
