Care for Creation - Stewardship - Term 1
This means looking after the beautiful world God has given us. We have a responsibility to keep our earth clean and healthy by helping others, protecting animals and plants, sharing resources fairly, and respecting everything around us. The Bible reminds us: “The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and take care of it” (Genesis 2:15). When we care for creation, we show love for God and for each other.
Throughout Term 1, our school community has focused on the theme of Care for Creation, exploring this important aspect of Catholic Social Teaching in every class. Pupils learned that God calls us to respect and protect the world He lovingly created. Through class discussions, prayer, and practical actions, we reflected on how even small changes—like reducing waste, recycling, and caring for animals—can help protect our environment. This focus reminded us that caring for creation is not just an environmental responsibility, but a spiritual one.
